Konu Özetli Etkinlik Kitabı UNIT SINIF HOLIDAYS 6. 156 07 PAST FORM OF “ TO BE ” We use the simple past tense to talk about past events. “was / were” is the past form of “am, is, are”. We use “was / were” with nouns and adjectives. (Geçmiş olaylardan bahsederken Simple Past Tense kullanırız. “was / were”, “am, is, are” isimler ve sıfatlar ile kullanılır.)  Anna was on holiday in Rome.  They weren’t here yesterday.  Were you alone on holiday?  Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t.  Why was I sleepy?  Where were you?  When was he at the cinema?  How was she?  What was it?  Why were we hungry?  When were they at work? Anna Roma’da tatildeydi. Onlar dün burada değildi. Tatilde yalnız mıydın? Evet, öyleydim. / Hayır değildim. Neden uykuluydum? Neredeydin? Ne zaman sinemadaydı? O nasıldı? O neydi? Biz neden açtık? Düzenli fiillerin sonuna genellikle “-d, ed, ied” eklenir. Fiilerin 2.hali sadece olumlu cümlede kullanılır. The past tense ile olumsuz cümleler yapmak için didn’t (did not) kullanırız. Ardından fiil yalın hâldedir. The past tense ile soru cümlesi oluştururken did kullanırız. Irregular verbs (düzensiz fiiller) bu kurala uymazlar. İkinci hallerini çalışarak öğrenmeliyiz.  watched - played - tried - closed  Did you live abroad?  I learned diving last year.  He played tennis yesterday.  They didn’t go to Spain last year.  find – found  have - had gibi.  Where did you go for your holiday? We use the “past simple” to talk about the action that took place in the past. We use the past simple form of the verbs. (“Simple past tense’i geçmişte olmuş eylemleri ifade etmek için kullanırız. Fiillerin ikinci halleri kullanılır.)  I learned skiing. (Kayak yapmayı öğrendim.)  Did you go anywhere on holiday? (Tatilde bir yere gittin mi?)  I didn’t go on holiday. (Tatile gitmedim.)
